Send Us Your Image For Help

Uploading from an iPad

Your image will need to meet our technical specification for you to be able to upload on a tablet. If you need help, you can send us your image and we will return it to you in an email, ready to upload on our website.

Your image will be attached at the bottom of the email we return to you. Press and hold your finger on the image to bring up the save options.

Scroll across to select ‘Save Attachment’.

You should now see you image listed. Select ‘Export to this location’.

When you tap ‘Upload’ you will be prompted to select your image which you will find in your ‘Photo Library’ or ‘iCloud Drive’. Uploading can take several seconds.

Your preview will be shown on the screen with your stamp dimensions confirmed in red. You won’t be able to change the image size. If it does not suit, you will need to contact us requesting a new image at your preferred size.

Once you have added the stamp to your basket, you will be able to check the dimensions once more before selecting further items or checking out.

Select ‘Save Image’.

The ‘here’ link in the email will direct you to the upload page on our website.

When you tap ‘Upload’ you will be prompted to select your image which you will find in your ‘Photo Library’. Uploading can take several seconds.

Can you make my image work?

If you have taken your image from the internet, please check the image is not fuzzy. Images with low resolution do not make clear stamps, nor do faint, broken lines.  

Images with lots of colour don't have enough contrast to work well. We have to process all  images in black and white only. 

Did my payment go through?

The status of your order will be ‘Paid’ or ‘Paypal’ when we have successfully received your payment and your order is ready to be processed. Once an order has been processed it will be marked as 'Complete'.

If your order status is Card Payment Pending or Paypal Pending, it means your payment may not have gone through. It is best to call us on 01929 439117 to double check.

Copyright issues

You keep the copyright of any design that you own. We will not produce stamps for anyone other than the copyright owner unless we have written persmisson.

All images or artwork, or any element of such images or artwork provided by us, are protected by the laws of copyright and may not therefore be used or copied without our permission.

We give you permission to use stamps incorporating our images/artwork to make items if they are stamped by hand and are made: (i) for personal or domestic use/non-commercial purposes; or (ii) for sale locally to raise funds for charity and/or community purposes. This permission does not extend to allow sale through commercial retail outlets, via the internet or via social media.

You may not use stamps incorporating our images/artwork in any process which involves graphic, digital, mechanical or electronic reproduction including photocopying.

You may not use stamps incorporating our images/artwork for business logos or clip art.

You are not restricted by these terms or by our intellectual property rights in the use of custom stamps which do not incorporate any of our images or artwork (although you may be restricted by the rights of the copyright owner of the uploaded images/artwork).

Security, Privacy & Payment Types

Pay by credit or debit card or by PayPal. If your payment is unsuccessful but you wish to continue with your purchase, please log on to your account, ‘view orders’ and click on the payment button.

Card payments are handled by Stripe. The English Stamp Company does not have access to any of your card details, other than the type of card, expiry date and the last 4 digits on the front of the card, which we use to identify the card used.

The whole of our site is secure. The secure software (SSL) encrypts any information you input before it is sent to us. Encryption makes it very difficult for unauthorised people to view information travelling between computers.

You can tell whether a page is secure as 'https' will replace the 'http' at the front of the www.englishstamp.com in your browser address window. A small locked padlock will also appear in your browser window.

The English Stamp Company does not sell, trade or rent your personal information.

If you pay by card your card payment will be handled by Stripe (a secure third party payment merchant with bank level security). The only details The English Stamp Company receives are the type of card, the last four digits of the card number and its expiry date. We are supplied this information by Stripe so we can identify the card used to make your purchase. We are unable to make any further charges for other products you may wish to add, unless you supply your card details directly to us.

Can I place an order over the phone?

If you have approved your custom order via email but are still having problems placing your order online, please do call us on 01929 439117 and we will be happy to place your order with you over the phone.

Can I reorder a custom stamp I have previously ordered?

Yes. We keep your designs secure on our site and can reproduce them. You can view and download your image from your previous orders. Once downloaded you can then upload the image and reorder.

If you need further assistance, please contact us, letting us know the previous order number and the items you wish to reorder.

VAT (sales tax)

Prices include VAT, which is charged at the current rate on all orders delivered to addresses within the EU. If your delivery country is outside the EU, VAT will be removed at the checkout. Channel Islands residents should select 'Channel Islands' rather than 'United Kingdom' as their delivery country.

Can I change or cancel my order?

You cannot cancel an order for a custom stamp, as it has been customised for you. Once we have made your custom stamp it cannot be altered in any way.

For orders of non-customised goods, you have a right (Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000) to cancel your order in writing within seven working days, beginning with the day after the day on which you receive the goods.

How do I upload my image for a custom stamp?

Your image must meet our required technical specifications to be uploaded on our website and ordered. The technical specification and help with ordering can be found here.

If you need advice, image-resizing or want to check your image will work, please contact us.

What format does my image need to be in?

Please ensure that your file meets the specifications shown below.
Actual stamp size required and saved as a .jpg to these specifications.

Image Format: .jpg (no other files can be uploaded)
Image Pixels: minimum 200 x 200 pixels
Image Resolution: minimum 300 DPI, the higher the better, 900 DPI is optimal
Image Size: We can make your stamp at any size, up to a maximum of 280mm x 180mm
Image Size: maximum 4MB

It's best to supply your image as greyscale, rather than colour.

I can't log in

Existing customers: check your email address is the same one you used previously and is spelled correctly. For security reasons we do not store your password in a way that can be recovered. You can request a new password by clicking "Forgotten your password?" on the sign in page.
